The official start of construction of the new offices and workshops for SKF Sweden in Gamlestaden, Gothenburg was on 13 June 2014. The project was run in close co-operation between the parties in the form of a collaboration contract where Serneke Construction was in charge of the turnkey contract. The building was completed during the summer of 2015.
One Roof, who now goes under the name SKF Solution Factory, is a modern and environmentally classified building of over 8000 square meters and with space for over 300 employees. The building consists of a workshop and clinical laboratory, office and conference space.
SKF wanted to create a dynamic environment with many meeting points for collaboration between different departments and disciplines to free up staff's full potential and to achieve a strong customer focus. Following a comprehensive procurement Serneke was chosen as general contractor for the project.

A decision has already been made that SKF is to leave the northern part of Säveån for the development of a residential area and shopping centre. The investment in SKF Solution Factory must be seen with this in mind.

The building is equipped with the best energy and environmental technology and is LEED GOLD certified.
