In December 2018, we signed an agreement with Diös on turnkey construction for a new hotel in Sundsvall. The architects behind are Krook & Capercaillie and Nordic Choice Hotels will be hotel operator.
Since February this year, Serneke and Diös have a partnership agreement which is now moving from phase 1 to implementation agreements. The 270 room large hotel is part of the Diös Urban Development Strategy for Sundsvall where the new hotel together with IN: Gallerian is included in a new city block. In total, the hotel covers about 14 000 square meters in seven planes and will, in addition to its 270 hotel rooms, also offer conference areas, restaurant, bars, roof terrace, gym and spa.

The project takes place in good cooperation with Diös and the commitment is large to deliver new hotel capacity to Sundsvall, says Fredrik Eakins, regional manager at Serneke Bygg East.

We create something that is not available today and together with a developed range in Stenstan, we contribute to urban development. To do this together with Nordic Choice Hotels, Krook & Capercaillie and Serneke is a great driving force to be able to implement our plans. Construction starts are scheduled in spring 2019 and the hotel is estimated to have a production time of about two years. The order value of approximately SEK 350 million is included in orders received for the fourth quarter 2018.
